Job: Program Evaluator

Luz Social Services, Inc., is seeking a Full-Time experienced Program Evaluator. Grant writing skills a must. Will work under the Director of Research and Evaluation.

JOB SUMMARY: The Program Evaluator will be responsible to assist in a variety of program evaluation activities related to substance abuse prevention and charter school education.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES:
� Develops and administers program and community surveys.
� Conduct data entry.
� Conducts data analysis.
� Organizes and conducts focus groups.
� Conducts program and community research.
� Disseminate data results and reports to programs and community.
� Reviews confidential information.
� Processes evaluation report findings with program staff and community members and helps staff integrates findings into program implementation strategies.
� Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual reports on programs to funding sources.
� Perform some clerical duties as needed.
� Participates in grant writing team.
� Responsible for development of needs assessments and evaluation plans for grants.
� Travel to agency sites periodically.
� Supports and participates in agency sponsored community and cultural events.
� Must participate in civic activities.
� Meet with supervisor for work-related assistance (supervision) once per week.
� Develop and maintain record-keeping system.
� Maintains central database.
� Maintains data collecting confidential and does not disseminate without prior approval.
� Other duties as assigned.

ABILITIES AND KNOWLEDGE:
� Familiar with the target population.
� Must have experience working with the Latino Population.
� Some knowledge and understanding of substance abuse prevention procedures and school/ education related research.
� Must be trustworthy and have honest qualities.
� Must be detail-oriented with systematic problem solving skills.
� Good communication skills, verbal and written.
� A working knowledge of computer applications including database software, Word, Excel, Access, Power Point, and SPSS.

QUALIFICATIONS:
� Master�s and/or Doctoral with a Strong Evaluation Background. Three to five years experience in Social Work, Social Sciences and related areas such as, Psychology, Educational Psychology, Sociology, etc., Health Education or equivalent evaluation work experience.
� Must have the capability to do the evaluation and grant writing
� Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish preferred.
