Job: Senior Tax Accountant

Headquartered in Tucson, AZ, Walbro Engine Management (WEM), is the world's largest manufacturer of carburetors and a major manufacturer of ignition systems, fuel injection and air/fuel management components for engines targeted at outdoor power equipment, marine, recreational and two-wheel applications. Walbro Engine Management has facilities in the United States, Mexico, Italy, Japan, Thailand and China.

Walbro has an immediate need for a Senior Tax Accountant at its Global Corporate Headquarters location in Tucson, Arizona.

Successful candidate will coordinate tax, legal and statutory accounting issues with controllers, internal and external auditors to ensure accounting and tax treatments are consistent and meet US GAAP. Will provide recommendations for identified control weaknesses, offer support, guidance, direction and consultative value-add to the Company's global finance teams as well as coordinate with the financial staff to drive corporate tax initiatives and the implementation of tax policies, practices and procedures.

Responsibilities include:

Develop and implement tax policies and procedures for accurate and timely reporting of local, state and federal tax filings

Prepare USA federal, state and local income tax returns, estimates and extensions

Coordinate with Company's external tax consultants to calculate quarterly and annual tax provisions

Monitor inter-company transfers and profitability levels in various jurisdictions to ensure compliance with transfer pricing rules

5+ years related experience with BS/BA, CPA required

Solid, current knowledge of US GAAP & US Tax rules with basic understanding of international tax treaties

Strong technical accounting, research and interpretation skills

Working knowledge MS Office, with advanced experience in Excel spreadsheet preparation

Prior experience with TM1, Hyperion or other global financial software a big plus
