Front Office:

In this position, you may be responsible for greeting and checking in patients arriving for appointments, have patients fill out necessary forms for visit, verify and update patient information and health insurance coverage before each patient visit, update insurance and demographic information in computer system as needed, schedule patient appointments as necessary, confirms next day appointments and verifies time and location with patient when applicable, accurately totals procedures from encounter form and collects monies due, makes follow-up appointments, run day-end reports; balances deposit/batch and cash drawer at the end of every day, run deficiency reports and corrects deficiencies when applicable, assists with referrals when applicable.

High School diploma or equivalent required.
Two years previous experience in health related field and working with the public.
Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Effective verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills required.
Must have general knowledge of insurance plans, HMO, and billing process
CPT/ICD-9 coding experience necessary

Any equivalent combination of education, training and/or experience that fulfills the requirements of the position will be considered.
