We are seeking positive, organized, innovative Team players with exceptional customer service skills and confidence to ask for the sell. The successful candidates will be positive, self-motivated professionals with good administrative and communication skills.

The Leasing Associate is the propertys sales representative whose primary duties are to greet prospects, to present professionally the features and benefits of their assigned property and secure lease agreements from qualified applicants.

The right candidate is very service oriented and strives to make both current and prospective residents feel welcome and comfortable in their community. This position also includes performing administrative and clerical duties.

Skills/ Requirements
MARKETING/LEASING
*Maintains a professional, yet friendly atmosphere in the leasing office and other areas where prospective residents and residents meet.
*Answers incoming phone calls and handles accordingly whether it is a prospect or resident call. Transfer calls when appropriate.
*Greets prospective residents, qualifies, determines needs and preferences, professionally presents property and specific apartments while providing features and benefits.
*Maintains awareness of local market conditions and trends. Contributes ideas to the Community Director for marketing of the property and for improving resident satisfaction.

ADMINISTRATIVE
*Correctly completes all lease applications, assists with application verification and notifies prospective residents of results. Prepares miscellaneous resident communication as needed.
*Completes all lease paperwork including related addenda, accepts rents and deposits.
*Completes Guest Cards on all prospects, sends thank-you notes and performs follow-up.

*Physically inspects property when showing apartments, picks up litter and reports any service needs to maintenance staff. Inspects move-ins, move-outs and vacancies.
*Inventories office supplies on periodic basis. Reports needs to Community Director.
*Organizes and files appropriate reports, leases and paperwork.
*Attends company meetings when requested.
*Assists Community Director and Assistant Community Director in preparation of daily and weekly reports, resident communications, move-out inventory, market surveys, etc.

GENERAL
*Performs any additional duties assigned by Assistant Community Director, Community Director or Property Supervisor.


Skills / Requirements
QUALIFICATIONS

*High school diploma or GED with one year related experience and/or training.
*Ability to function effectively in a sales/marketing and customer service environment.
*Ability to read and write short correspondence and memos. Ability to compute rate, discounts, and bonuses.
*Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
*Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed written or oral instructions.
*Ability to deal with problems involving few concrete variables in standardized situations.
*Basic computer skills and ability to type.

Work Hours: 14-40 hours per week depending on whether a full or part-time employee. Employee will be required to work a flexible work week including weekends.
