Below is additional information about the position.

GENERAL SUMMARY
Responsible for the coordination and implementation of projects and programs in direct support of business objectives. Projects assigned are complex, have large cross divisional impact, are broad in scope, and are typically related to core business processes. Leads multiple projects simultaneously. Manages all aspects of the project including, but not limited to scope, cost/benefit analysis, written proposal, budgets, and schedule.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
• Responsible for providing project management support at the direction of a management team. Develops and leads project teams through all phases and activities of the project life-cycle.
• Works with management, senior leadership and project sponsor(s) to determine project goals and priorities.
• Scope of duties includes, but is not limited to translating needs, issues, and ideas into effective strategies and actions plans, coordination and maintenance of all project documentation, project performance, risk management, development of project budgets and cost benefit analysis, stakeholder management, management of multiple cross functional teams, and the design of operational processes.
• Prepares detailed cost benefit analyses and program approval documents. Communicates results and recommendations to key stakeholders and/or project sponsors to obtain approval.
• Ensures projects adhere to the established project management methodologies, standards, tools, processes, policies, and procedures.
• Develops and communicates a clear vision of the project objectives. Motivates the project team to achieve their goals while creating an environment that drives peak performance.
• Evaluates, monitors, and ensures compliance with all laws, regulations, policies, and procedures associated with any aspects of the project.
• Performs other duties as required.


Skills / Requirements
JOB SPECIFICATIONS
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent. Master’s degree preferred.
• Project Management Professional (PMP) or Six Sigma certification required.
• Significant (5-7 years) experience in managing a wide variety of medium to large multifunctional projects, including experience in leading technical staff, team members, and vendors. Health care or financial experience preferred.
• Demonstrated application of project management methodology required. Knowledge of or experience with project management tools, documentation tools, and reporting tools.
• Excellent skills in critical thinking and analysis, meeting facilitation, verbal and written communications, and interpersonal skills (e.g., partnering, conflict management, consulting, etc.).
• Thorough understanding of current trends and strategies in healthcare and their application to information technologies.
