Jobing Description
We are currently accepting applications for full time Behavioral Health Specialist to provide client supervision and care as part of a treatment team in a residential setting.
Hours: TDB KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES: 1. Knowledge of the Title 36 process as appropriate to program. 2. Knowledge of the philosophy and purpose behind the provision of activities. 3. Able to pattern activities in a manner that encourages clients to constructively use leisure/recreational time. 4. Able to assess potential crisis situations and call for assistance if needed. 5. Identify types of medications commonly prescribed for mental disorders, personality disorders, and substance abuse and the common side effects and adverse reactions of the medications. 6. Able to operate common office equipment and have basic computer skills. 7. Able to effectively communicate orally and in writing. 8. After 6 weeks of on-site direction, able to recognize obvious symptoms of a mental disorder, personality disorder, or substance abuse. 9. After 6 weeks of on-site direction, possess skills and knowledge to perform duties and responsibilities described below. Skills / Requirements
Minimum Qualifications :
High school diploma or GED, no experience necessary. Important Notes
Must be at least 21 years of age (licensing requirement) and possess a valid Arizona driver's license. Applicants must be able to pass a pre-employment drug test.
